The General William
C. Lee Gospel Sing
The General William C. Lee Gospel Sing was held June 1st at the Stewart
Theater in Downtown Dunn. The Kingsmen, Higher Faith, The Surles Family,
and The Pope Brothers all made this concert a rip-roaring success! |

We all had a great time, despite the monsoon that arrived right before
the concert. Neal came prepared, though. From left to right: Ronnie
Pope, Sharon Jackson, Lottie, Sheree, Ray Reese, Neal, Margie, and
Nathan Pope. |

Jason Selph of The Kingsmen. Jason normally plays bass, but this night
he stepped right up to lead position. He did a great job.
|

Andrew Ishee, pianist for The Kingsmen, is a show all by himself. |

The Kingsmen started off the program with one of my favorites,
"Just As the Sun Went Down."
|

Pat Price of Higher Faith.
|

The fellows from Louisiana breaking it down on
"I Shall Wear A Crown."
|
Our emcees for the evening, Sheree Parker and Good Morning Charlie
Fowler.
|

Jackie Surles Dennis of the Surles Family getting ready to go on stage.
|

Jason, Jeff, Jackie, and Mark--The Surles Family.
|

Everybody's favorite...The Pope Brothers.
|

Margie's sister, Mary Jo Satterfield was one of the many volunteers who
helped to make the General William C. Lee Gospel Sing a success!
